Are there two ways about the fertilization?
Your doctor might take a decision whether to go in for a conventional fertilization or ICSI. Depending upon the pertaining conditions, fertilization shall be carried out in either of the ways.

Like we mentioned earlier, it’s the incubator that behaves like an artificial womb. Embryo starts developing overnight. A 4 cell embryo can be seen on the second day. What if multiple embryos are developed in the lab?

Without any doubt, your embryologist chooses the healthiest embryo for transfer. It’s preferred to wait until the 5^th day so that the choice of the healthiest embryo is easier.
Your embryologist shall be highly trained for the procedure. He / She shall be following all the necessary rules and regulations to ensure success at transfer.
The extra embryos which are as good as the implanted one can be frozen as a backup action! If the first attempt is successful, nothing like it. But if it isn’t, the frozen embryos shall help you out.
